Her acting credits include various Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Tamil films including Tapasya (1976), Mera Rakshak (1978), Safed Haathi (1978), Mogudu_Kaavali (1980), Muqaddar Ka Sikander (1979), Auto Raja (1980), Vasantha Geetha (1980), Aarada Gaaya (1980), Rusthum Jodi (1980), and Sigappu Malargal (1986).
Besides being an actor, her husband Anant is also a politician who had attained the post of an MLC, MLA, and a minister in J. H. Patel government in the past.
Her brother-in-law Shankar Nag was a well-known actor and director who rose to fame with his work on Malgudi Days. Unfortunately, his life was cut short due to an unforeseen car crash that took place in the Anagodu village on the outskirts of Davanagere town on September 30, 1990, where he died on the spot.
