Cincinnati continued to bolster its 2023 recruiting class with a commitment from Ty Perkins, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver out of Ironton, Ohio.
Perkins does not yet have a composite rating, but is graded as a three-star by 247Sports. He picked up an offer from Cincinnati at the Nipp at Night camp last Thursday that featured a number of regional 2023 and 2024 prospects. Perkins is also a high school teammate of four-star linebacker and fellow Cincinnati commit Trevor Carter.
Wide receivers coach Mike Brown led the recruitment on Perkins, with offensive coordinator Gino Guidugli and head coach Luke Fickell assisting as well. Cincinnati now has 17 commits in the 2023 class.

What does Perkins’ decision mean for the Bearcats?
Justin Williams, Cincinnati beat writer: Cincinnati stays hot on the trail, adding its ninth commitment since Saturday. While the others came from the official visits, Perkins was a product of the Nipp at Night camp last Thursday. The event featured a number of in-state 2024 prospects, but it also allowed the UC coaching staff to get a closer look at 2023 recruits such as Perkins, a future big-bodied outside target.
